（3）最近購入した本 2017～8年

「最近購入した本」というタイトルで過去に2度記事をアップしている。

他にも似たようなタイトルの記事や、おもに本を紹介する記事などいくつもあるのだが、今回は単に購入した本を紹介するだけでなく、どのような購入方法を使っているか、についても書いてみたいと思う。

ご存知の方も多いと思うのであらためて説明は必要ないと思うが、筆者が購入する本の大半は洋書（英語のみ）である。

その理由は購入ジャンルが神学が殆どだからということになる。

それで説明にならなければ、キリスト教神学書というのは目下のところ外国語で書かれた本の翻訳が多いということ。日本人著者が書いたとしても、多分に外国語で書かれた本、つまり近代日本にとってキリスト教文明の先進国であったヨーロッパや米国の言葉で書かれたものを下敷きにしているものが多いということになる。

もっと言えば、翻訳書は値段が高くなる傾向にあり、もっと言えば下敷きとなっている外国語（特に英語）のキリスト教神学の本は圧倒的に値段が安い傾向にある。

ここからはより個人的事情になるかもしれないが、米国遊学時代さんざん中古本を買い（そのジャンルはキリスト教神学を越えて多岐に渡る）、それらを殆ど読んでもいないのに帰国後必要に応じて買い足した（洋）書籍でもはや書棚が溢れているので、新たに購入するのがますます難しくなっているのだ。

ここ1～2年の傾向としては、以前購入に使っていた「アマゾン・コム」とはすっかりご無沙汰している。（キンドル本を除いてということだが）

その代わりにもっぱら「クリスチャンブック・コム」を多用している。主な理由は「ディスカウン書籍」が多く、掘り出し物みたいな本を購入する楽しみがあるからだ。

掘り出し物と言っても、本の価値は読者の様々なニーズに左右されるので何とも言えないが、キリスト教神学に限って言えば、日本語に翻訳されるものは評価の定まった著名な著者のものがどうしても多くなるわけだが、英語のものだとキリスト教神学関連の出版点数が多いため、結構内容的に優れた本と思われるものでも、どんどん在庫整理されるようなのだ。

さらに「クリスチャンブック・コム」の場合はほんのちょっとだけ体裁に損傷（slightly imperfect）があるような本の在庫整理も結構あるようだ。

さて前置きが長くなってしまった。以下がここ1～2年に「クリスチャンブック・コム」から購入した（主に）バーゲンセール本だ。

Diet in Biblical Times （33）Commanding Grace: Studies in Karl Barth's Ethics （34）The Challenges of Cultural Discipleship: Essays in the Line of Abraham Kuyper この中から「お徳」本を列挙してみる。しかし全部読んだわけではないので、少し読み始めて「食指が動いた」本を先ずは「お徳」認定とした。 （14）Paul Unbound: Other Perspectives on the Apostle これはいわばポストNPP（パウロ研究の新しい視点）の動向を紹介する論集で、この中で特にマーク・D・ナノス（Mark D. Nanos）の『パウロとユダヤ教、というより、パウロのユダヤ教ではないか?』（Paul and Judaism: Why Not Paul's Judaism） が読み応えがあった。（実際117-160ページとかなりの紙数。） （15）Truly Divine & Truly Human: The Story of Christ and the Seven Ecumenical Councils 筆者のようなこの方面の素人には古代教会の公同信条の神学的展開を概観する好著と思う。 （16）The Later New Testament Writings and Scripture: The Old Testament in Acts, Hebrews, the Catholic Epistles, and Revelation スティーブ・モイスが新約聖書各巻の旧約聖書言及を調べてその神学的背景などを簡潔に紹介している本。自分でいちいち調べ始めたら大変時間がかかると思うので、このようなサーベイは同種のリサーチのとき最初に手に取るのに便利だと思う。 　筆者はモイスの福音書（Jesus and Scripture） の方は持っているので、後パウロ書簡（Paul and Scripture）を入手すれば3巻揃いとなる。 （21）The Drama of Living: Becoming Wise in the Spirit デーヴィッド・フォードというケンブリッジ大の神学者による本で、何と言うか肩肘張ってない、文学を読むような感じの神学書。いろいろ筆者の関心領域に触れてくるので思わず「おっ」という感じの箇所が発見されなかなか嬉しい。

（34）The Challenges of Cultural Discipleship: Essays in the Line of Abraham Kuyper

フラー神学校の学長だったリチャード・マウによるカイパー学統の流れに連なる論集。筆者のカイパーに対する（多少の）偏見を矯正してくれそうなちょっとした洞察が散見されて心地よい。今一番手に取る回数が多い本。
